Land Rover air suspension warning: what to do
Posted 2026-11-02 by Autotech Cheshire
If your Land Rover or Range Rover has started sitting low overnight, or an air suspension message has appeared on the dash, do not ignore it. The compressor can be damaged by running for too long to keep up with a leak.
What it can mean
- A worn air spring leaking slowly
- A leaking air line or fitting
- A tired compressor or a failed relay or sensor
- A height sensor fault
What to do
- Avoid long journeys or heavy loads if the vehicle is sitting low.
- Do not keep restarting the vehicle to get it to rise, as this can overwork the compressor.
- Book a diagnostic check so the fault can be found early.
We carry out air suspension diagnostics on Discovery, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover models. See also our guide to common Land Rover problems.
